Sea Turtles are an important totem for our people. They crawl up from the sea not our beaches and dig a nest and lay their eggs. They eat Jellyfish which is also an important totem for our people. During the end of the wet Jellyfish invade all our waters. They are here in countless numbers. When they are here we do not catch any other fish. Most Jellyfish are harmless. Some can be very dangerous and make for a terrible sting.

Shipping costs are included in pricing with works smaller than 100cm. Objects larger than 100cm are not included and the responsibility of the buyer. The centre will get the work to Cairns "Pack and Send" and the buyer will make agreements with them.

Pormpuraaw Art & Culture Centre Shipping policy
Freight or postage will be covered for items under 100cm. Items over 100cm need to be dealt with differently. They will be dropped of at Cairns Pack and Send and they will assist buyer. Paintings and prints are placed in a tube and rolled up.

Refunds are dealt with on a case by case basis. If the buyer changes their mind and wants to return work it needs to happen within 30 days. Return freight needs to be covered by buyer.
