“Clay Pan” is what we call the flat flood plain that surrounds Pormpuraaw. In the dry season it becomes dried cracked mud void of green living plants. They become open plains that let you see long distances. During the wet season the rains and tide fill the clay pan making for large wetlands. These wetlands fill with water and plants grow and fish swim in from the rivers and sea.

Shipping costs are included in pricing with works smaller than 100cm. Objects larger than 100cm are not included and the responsibility of the buyer. The centre will get the work to Cairns "Pack and Send" and the buyer will make agreements with them.

Pormpuraaw Art & Culture Centre Shipping policy
Freight or postage will be covered for items under 100cm. Items over 100cm need to be dealt with differently. They will be dropped of at Cairns Pack and Send and they will assist buyer. Paintings and prints are placed in a tube and rolled up.

Refunds are dealt with on a case by case basis. If the buyer changes their mind and wants to return work it needs to happen within 30 days. Return freight needs to be covered by buyer.
