Blue Salmon are one of our big totems for Pormpuraaw waters. We catch many of them with line and spear. This fish is being caught in large numbers by commercial fisheries and by ghost nets. Ghost nets are nets commercial fisheries cast over the side and abandon. These nets are usually damaged and need to be thrown away properly. It makes me sad to think of all our fish killed in ghost nets without purpose.

Shipping costs are included in pricing with works smaller than 100cm. Objects larger than 100cm are not included and the responsibility of the buyer. The centre will get the work to Cairns "Pack and Send" and the buyer will make agreements with them.

Pormpuraaw Art & Culture Centre Shipping policy
Freight or postage will be covered for items under 100cm. Items over 100cm need to be dealt with differently. They will be dropped of at Cairns Pack and Send and they will assist buyer. Paintings and prints are placed in a tube and rolled up.

Refunds are dealt with on a case by case basis. If the buyer changes their mind and wants to return work it needs to happen within 30 days. Return freight needs to be covered by buyer.
