Kunda Beamo was born in Melbourne in 1941 and is of Yamadji descent. He is a self-taught artist who draws inspiration from reclaiming his identity and culture. Kunda Beamo’s work has been included in numerous exhibitions, museums and art awards around Australia and overseas.

Kunda’s work represents people, elders, spirits, dancers and animals portrayed in a combination of both contemporary and traditional techniques.

Beamo has depicted the Sydney Opera House inspired by when it was lit up at night.
