‘Miriwoong Country’ Slipcast Boab Nut

Designed by Ben Ward, this slip cast ceramic object is shaped into the iconic Kimberley boab nut. Ward uses abstracted triangular symbols in his art to map country and highlight important sites.
‘Gerdewoon’ – Miriwoong for the iconic Kimberley boab is the inspiration for these unique ceramic objects. For thousands of years an important source of bush tucker, a medicine, a vessel, an engraved object and gift of cultural exchange, these objects translate the east Kimberley artistic tradition of boab engraving into contemporary form.
Designed by select Waringarri artists, these exquisite objects are created using Australian porcelain, slip cast in hand carved moulds using a multi-coloured process. Waringarri Arts studio technicians meticulously refine the porcelain castings by hand allowing each object to inherit an individually crafted quality.

Once payment has been processed through the site and is received by the art centre your artworks will be sent.
Delivery times vary across Australia. We mainly use Australia Post or TNT.
- 5-7 working days to Perth, NT and regional WA
- 14 working days for delivery to eastern state capital cities
- 14 – 20 working days for delivery to regional eastern state locations in Australia.
During very busy periods, please allow extra time for your items to be packed.
We are not responsible for any late delivery or failure to deliver due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Please ensure that your requested delivery location is free from obstructions and is otherwise in a clean and tidy state to prevent any delivery delays. At the time of delivery, you may be asked to sign a form to acknowledge that the goods were delivered in good and proper condition. Where you have requested that a representative accept delivery of the goods on your behalf, this delivery acknowledgment will be obtained by the supplier from your representative.

Refunds will generally only be provided according to Australian Consumer Law.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your exchange credit.

You have 14 calendar days to exchange an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging. Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item and arrange for your alternative items to be sent.
