The artist’s birthplace is Edmond Bore, which is near Kungkayunti (Brown’s Bore) south of Ikuntji/Haasts Bluff. This painting shows the artist’s Tjukurrpa (Dreaming), Kungkayunti, the place where all the ancestral Arrernte women come to rest after travelling from Ntaria (Hermannsburg) to Kintore and past Kulpitarra (Outstation). There, they dance, share their stories and renew their law. The women turned into stone, where you still can see them today. Anmanari describes the tracks of all the women. Kungkayunti (women dancing) is the name of the place that the women first camped. They were on a journey, on their way to womens business.
This fabric has been screen printed by hand by Publisher Textiles and Papers, ensuring the highest quality and longevity.

Freight and Handling Costs
Our prices are inclusive of freight & handling costs. As a remote Art Centre staff take great care in packing each item properly to ensure safe travels on the 230 km drive to the closest post office / courier office. All paintings are shipped unstretched, unless otherwise stated in the materials section as ‘Pre-Stretched’. Pre-stretching of larger canvas must be organised and paid for in advance. Please get in touch via [email protected] for more details.

For International orders, a staff member will get in contact for additional shipping costs after your order is placed. Below are estimated pricing, we ship with Startrack.

Delivery Times
Due to Australian wide shipping delays and the possibility of bad weather on local roads at all times of the year. Delivery times may take longer than usual. Every effort is made to dispatch artworks as quickly as possible, but specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Please keep in mind that you are purchasing something from a remote community. Our minimum wait time for dispatch is one week after the Tarnanthi event has finished. Customers should expect to receive their items early to mid November 2023.
Please clearly nominate a delivery address, phone number and name for your delivery so we can easily get in-touch should a rare issue occur.
All items are posted using Startrack or Australia Post unless other delivery arrangements are made with the Art Centre. You will receive an email with your tracking number and order details once it has been posted.
Ikuntji Artists Refund policy
Ikuntji Artists does not offer refunds or returns for change of mind. Once an order is placed, it cannot be modified or cancelled. Please take this into consideration when purchasing items. Please also note that for handmade items such as fabrics and t-shirts, slight variations should be expected. Much care and time is taken when arranging photographs of artworks for the website and we do our best to assure that they are true to colour and form. Ikuntji Artists are not responsible for misrepresentations of images on personal devices.
Please be aware when purchasing clothing, we do not offer a refund for change of mind. Ikuntji can offer an exchange or store credit for incorrect sizing however we are not able to offer refunds or reimbursements for any postage costs including the return of the item.

- Tarnanthi Art fair & Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation takes no responsibility for the negotiation, coordination or distribution of freight and shipping of purchases made at the 2023 online Tarnanthi Art fair. Items customers wish to purchase may require an additional quote from the Art Centre/Vendor for freight which will be charged separately.
- Shipping and freight costs are not included in the advertised purchase price unless this is stipulated at the point of purchase of the item by the Art Centre/Vendor.
- If shipping and freight costs are not stipulated at point of purchase, all shipping and freight costs must be arranged directly with the Art Centre/Vendor from where the purchase was made.
- If multiple items are purchased from different Art Centres/Vendors in the same transaction, customers must arrange shipping with each Art Centre/Vendor.
