DRIVING AROUND TEA TOWEL by Queenie Stewart

Queenie has depicted and written a story about some of the many ways that Purple House supports our clients to live a good life.

Queenie Nungurrayi Stewart is a Warlpiri woman who was born in Alice Springs and her Country is Yuendumu. She is the daughter of founding Warlukurlangu Artists painter and chairman the late Paddy (Cookie) Japaljarri Stewart. Queenie began painting for Warlukurlangu Artists in 1997 and has travelled interstate for group exhibitions. She is now based in Alice Springs and returns to community for long holidays, ceremonies and to visit family where she receives treatment at Purple House’s Yuendumu dialysis unit. Queenie and her late father were the first people to have dialysis in the Yuendumu unit when it opened in 2010.

The tea towels are 100% cotton.
