Alroy Downs is a cattle station in the Barkly Tableland located 200 km from Tennant Creek, where Heather Anderson grew up with her cousin and fellow Tartukula artist Lindy Brodie. Depictions of the landscape around Alroy Downs have come to constitute a large part of Heather’s oeuvre as she reflects on fond childhood memories painting alongside Lindy. Through these station paintings Heather has established a number of recurring motifs such as the windmill and bore, work cars, bullockies and the “cheeky roo” that peers out from behind anthills.

A purchaser taking this option will pay in full for the safe return of the artwork.
