Stephanie Yukenbarri

Stephanie is part of a strong painting family. She is the granddaughter of Helicopter Tjungurrayi and Lucy Yukenbarri (dec). Her mother is Cathy Yukenbarri, and aunties Christine and Imelda Yukenbarri are also esteemed artists.

Born in Derby, she grew up in Balgo and went to school here. She worked at the Luurnpa Catholic school for a long time. She is the mother of three boys, they all live in Balgo.

Stephanie paints the stories passed down to her from her grandmother Lucy.
