Sallyanne Roberts

Sallyanne grew up in her grandmother’s country near Nyapari in the APY lands, South Australia. Her grandmother Kunmanara (Wingu) Tingima was a ngankari (traditional healer) and a famous painter. Sallyanne learnt to paint from her grandmother, she paints the country Kura Ala. Kura Ala is a special place just for women, it is a space for special inma (ceremonies) and a place for healing.
