Rosie Campbell
Tangentyere Artists and Yarrenyty Arltere ArtistsRosie Campbell was born in 1956 in Coniston, into the Witchetty Grub totem of Coniston, and the stories she paints are from her Country. Currently residing in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), Campbell paints daily at Tangentyere Artists. Using dotting and a wide colour palette, Campbell depicts the marks women put on their shoulders for inma (dance), with body paint for open ceremony. “Woman paint each other up, and then dance together. Everybody happy.”
