Rosetta Wayatja

Rosetta Wayatja is an emerging artist and daughter of senior artists Joyce Naliyabu and Raymond Bulumbula. Rosetta worked as an art worker supporting other artists at Milingimbi Art and Culture from 2012 to 2016.

From a young age Rosetta sat with her mother and her mother’s sister, Emma Gundurrabuy, watching and learning from them how to harvest, dye and weave bush fibres into beautiful objects.

In 2016 Rosetta collaborated with distinguished Australian artist, Ricky Maynard, on a protect that reflected Yolngu stories from the World War II bombing of Yurrwi (Milingimbi).

Rosetta’s passion for sharing culture and working closely with country has lead her to now work with the Crocodile Rangers.
