Rachel Yaritji Stevens

Rachel grew up in Kaltjiti/Fregon and attended school in Indulkana, where she later started her family. Rachel learnt to paint when she was a teenager from her mother, Eileen Stevens. She paints Nyapari- her father’s country. Her mother-in-law Kunmanara (Wingu) Tingima was a ngankari (traditional healer) and a famous painter. Rachel has been painting in the women’s studio for a long time, alongside her daughter, Sallyanne Roberts.
