Mitjaŋba #1 Djerrkura
Buku Larrŋgay MulkaMitjaŋba #1 is the daughter of Bulambi #1 and belongs to the Waŋgurrri Clan of the Yirritja moiety. She is the widow of the senior Djapu clan leader Wirilma Munuŋgurr who was the main elder at Buymarr Homeland.
Today, she lives at the community of Yirrkala and the small Homeland of Dhalinybuy.
She is one of the senior weaving artists and whenever she goes out to harvest more Gunga (Pandanus) or get more roots and plants for the dye of the Gunga, she is followed and supported by some of her daughters and her Grandchildren, who learn the art of weaving from her.
