Loretta Ngalambana

Manye Manye and Wilirr are small snails that live in muddy sand on the tidal flats. Yolngu have collected them for generations to use for body adornment and still collect them to make jewellery that includes necklaces and earrings.  This necklace also incorperates a woven gunga (pandanus) pendant.
