Kathryn Queama

Kathryn Queama is minyma Anangu, a Pitjantjatjara woman from the Central Desert area of Australia. She has worked the Docker River Store and for regional organisation, Nyangatjatjara Aboriginal Corporation. Learning carving from her mother in law, the late Nyinku Kulitja, she has since gone on to develop a fresh style of her own in both paint and wood.

She also worked with Tjarlirli and Kaltukatjara Art until 2021 when she went to live with her father’s family in Yalata, on the southern coast of South Australia.
