Colleen Naylor

Colleen has been doing artwork sense her early childhood drawing on country using pencil and paper and also the charcoal from the fire.

When she moved to Quorn in the late 80’s it’s here she applied oil paints to her drawings painting landscapes in a western style.

Colleen moved her family to Port Augusta and it is here that she was immersed in the Aboriginal community and worked along side other First Nations artists and it’s here she became more involved in her artwork teaching western style to those who taught her about her own culture and developed her arts practice into dot paintings, wood carving and making jewellery using native seeds that she collects when walking on country.
