Christine Lennon

Christine is an emerging artist and director at Umoona Community Art Centre in Coober Pedy and holds a respected position as a community leader within the Umoona and Coober Pedy communities. Christine has worked for the last seven years as Umoona Women’s Centre Coordinator and has worked for the Umoona Alcohol and Drug Service supporting rehabilitation programs in the community for many years. Christine began painting in mid-2021 and depicts her Country through her paintings.

Christine has devoted her entire professional life to creating employment opportunities for Indigenous women in Coober Pedy and Umoona and is incredibly proud of what UCAC has achieved to date.
