Charmaine Kulitja is the daughter of renowned artist and community leader Rene Kulitja. She is also granddaughter of well-known wood carvers Topsy Tjulyata and Walter Pukutiwara.
Charmaine grew up in Mutitjulu community and Kaltukatjara (Docker River), her father’s country. All her family have a long history of involvement in traditional land management, tourism and the arts in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
