Chantelle Farmer

Chantelle Farmer was born in 1993, and grew in Milikapiti (Snake Bay) Melville Island where her father is from. Chantelle went to high school in Darwin. After a short stay back in Milikapiti Chantelle moved to Pirlangimpi where she started painting at Munupi Arts.

Chantelle is a young emerging artist who continues to hone and develop her skills as a painter. With natural ochres on canvas she paints the distinct Tiwi Jilamara (designs) that are traditionally adorned on the body for Ceremony and Yoi (dance).
