Betty says: “I was born in Port Augusta outside of the hospital. I grew up in Oodnadatta and went to school there. As a young teenager moved to Indulkana and continued school here. I then moved to Mt. Ebenezer. I lost my mama (father) there and my mother died while I was there also. I moved then to Areyonga and had babies there, Julie and Judith. After a while, I moved back to Indulkana. I have lived here for a long time. I have done lots of work. I started as a A.W at the school as a teacher’s aide, then I worked at the Health Clinic. Now I am at Iwantja Arts. I am a happy grandmother also.”
