ANNE OVI

Anne Ovi was born in Derby, in 1966. She lives on her traditional country, Walmajarri country, around Mulan Community.

Anne started painting in 2015. She paints the story for bush medicines and bush foods that can be found on Walmajarri country. Anne is now helping to re-open the Mulan arts centre, and is working with a team of women artworkers.

Anne is also an active and celebrated member of the Paraku Rangers Indigenous Protected Areas (IPA) group. She has been working there as a ranger since 1991.

Anne has one daughter, and 7 grandchildren.
