The original arts centre, Irrunytju Arts, first opened in 2000 and within a couple of years the artists were having sell out exhibitions nationally and internationally. Irrunytju Arts greatest success was also its downfall and by 2007 the centre was closed due to high earning artists being exploited by carpetbaggers (unethical art dealers), which eventually fragmented and undermined the art centre structure.

In 2012 Irrunyjtu Arts reopened as Minyma Kutjara Arts Project. This was a new and exciting enterprise initiated by the community to uplift and support their artists.

In 2020 Minyma Kutjara Arts Project received funding to renovate the original painting shed, purchase materials and employ a full time arts manager. This support has allowed the community to re-establish themselves as important participants in the national and international art market.

Shipping policy

Domestic Shipping Policy – $20 standard domestic shipping only. Please contact us for international shipping at [email protected]

Shipment processing time – All orders are processed within 2-3 business days, where upon you will receive a tracking number for your purchase. Orders can only be shipped once a week due to our remote location. Orders are not processed on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there is a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Refund policy

Due to internal management reasons about the artist payments, we can’t offer a refund service.

Although we won’t ignore any request from you about issues whit any of your Minyma Kutjara purchases, we offer a service of exchanging with equivalent available products.

Return policy

You can return the product to us for an exchange with an equivalent product.

Please note the following exceptions to our return and exchange policy:
– Returned items must be in their original condition and have no visible signs of damage.

To initiate a return for a exchange, please complete the following steps:

– Send the item back to us.
