About Gapuwiyak Culture and Arts
Gapuwiyak Culture and Arts supports over one hundred artists from Gapuwiyak and surrounding homelands in remote East Arnhem Land. We are owned by Yolŋu members, overseen by our Yolŋu Board, and employ an Art Centre Manager and Arts Workers. We assist artists to collect and prepare materials, explore ideas, develop knowledge and skills, and to exhibit, market and sell high quality work at our centre and around Australia.
Shipping policy
Domestic Shipping Policy – Artwork price includes shipping within Australia. Smaller items are sent with Australia Post. Larger artworks (100 cm +) are sent via Parcel Send and tracking numbers are provided. Due to our remote location, Parcel Send freight needs to be driven in to the nearest depot (3+hours) for on-forwarding. If there is a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone. Delivery delays can occasionally occur.
Please allow 3-5 days for artworks to be processed and packed and 7-10 working days for delivery.
International purchases are sent with Pack & Send and will incur additional cost.
All barks are sold with an aluminium framing system ready to be hung. Larrakitj and carvings do not include stands or supports for display, please email [email protected] or leave a message in your sale for more information on the manufacture of Larrakitj and sculpture stands or supports.
All canvases are delivered rolled and in a tube and do not include a stretcher frame. Works on paper are unframed.
Refund policy
Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All artworks are insured and should damage occur in transit the customer will be offered the options to repair, exchange or refund the work.
In the case of damage the art centre will arrange the pick up and return of the work.
Return policy
Tarnanthi Art fair and Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation takes no responsibility for the cancellation, return or exchange of any purchases made at the 2024 online Tarnanthi Art fair. All cancellations, returns or exchange requests must be directed to the Art Centre/Vendor where the purchase was made.
