Marcus ‘Double O’ Camphoo Kemarre has a grace and otherworldly quality that shines through in his total commitment to exploring nuances of the grid, which has become his signature aesthetic. Marcus has a natural affinity towards large, gestural, and bold abstraction. His best works resonate like portals to another dimension.
Marcus has exhibited prolifically since 2018. He is currently on show as a finalist at the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards in Darwin, while the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art is hosting a major survey of the Tennant Creek Brio’s work in, Tennant Creek Brio: Juparnta Ngattu Minjinypa Iconocrisis. 2024 also saw Marcus’ debut solo exhibition, MARKUSOOH, MAKUSOOH, MARUSOOH, at 8 Hele in Mparntwe.

We aim to have all works packed and freighted by the end of October. Larger works may need to be taken to Alice Springs for freight, so they can take longer.
