For this year's online Tarnanthi Art Fair, we've teamed up with Bush Balm @purplehousedialysis and @ernabella_arts to design a limited edition gift box wrap showcasing artwork by Tjunkaya Tapaya OAM.

Bush Balm has been used by Aboriginal people in Central Australia to soothe arthritis, muscle pain and joint inflammation and may also be used as a chest rub for cold and flu.

In August 2019, Purple House opened its first South Australian clinic, the Kinyin McKenzie Dialysis Centre, a four-chair facility in Pukatja/Ernabella on the APY Lands.

Without on Country dialysis many people are forced to leave their communities and families to seek treatment for end-stage renal failure in Alice Springs, Adelaide, or Darwin. With treatment on Country, artists and patients in Pukatja have been able to return home and pass on cultural knowledge in their community over the past 5 years.
